OMSPatcher :- (Oracle Managed Service Patcher) is the command line utility to patch the single OMS or multi OMS environments.
OMSPatcher provides a near-zero downtime patching option in addition to standard patching.
Below patching supports by OMSPatcher for OMS
1:-Standard Patching (normal downtime patching) 2:-Rapid Platform Update Patching (online patching)
Supported OMS Configurations
1:-Single OMS environment
2:- Multi OMS environment
3:-Single Instance Database or Real Application Cluster - shared or Real Application Cluster (RAC)
High level steps of patching Oracle Management Service
Step-1 Check latest available patch details using Doc ID 2760230.2
Step-2 Download latest available opatch utility for Repository database using Doc ID 2760230.2
Step-3 Download latest available RU patch for Repository database using Doc ID 2760230.2
Step-4 Download latest available OMS patch for OEM/OMS using Doc ID 2760230.2
Step-5 Download latest OMSPatcher utility for patching OEM/OMS Cloud Control 13 using Doc ID 2760230.2
Step-6 Transfer all the downloaded stuffs to the OEM/OMS server under one directory.
